Born from the Western lifestyle. Made for anyone who loves it.

Saddle Side Up started as Jill’s idea, but it didn’t take long for Cameron to see the vision and encourage her to go for it. The brand quickly became something we were excited to build together.

We’re Jill and Cameron, the founders of Saddle Side Up, and the life behind the brand is very much our own. We live on a rural Iowa acreage surrounded by horses, animals, and all the work, fun, and occasional chaos that comes with country life.

Jill grew up riding and training horses and still actively rides and shows in ranch and reining. Today, we raise horses of our own and continue building a life around the livestock, people, and Western culture we love.

Saddle Side Up is an extension of that life—but it was never meant to be just another horse brand.

Why We Started

We felt like something was missing from the apparel world: quality shirts, great designs, good vibes, and a brand that puts a little positivity back into the world.

We wanted to create pieces we'd genuinely want to wear—apparel that feels good, fits well, and has enough personality to stand out without trying too hard.

Our style is rooted in the Midwest, but with a modern edge. It's made for the barn and the backroads, but just as at home at a concert, around town, or wherever the day takes you.

Most importantly, we wanted Saddle Side Up to stand for something simple:

A little more fun. A little more positivity. And a well wish you can take with you.

What Does “Saddle Side Up” Mean?

You've probably heard someone say, “Keep the rubber side down.”

It's a simple way of wishing someone well—stay safe, enjoy the ride, and make it home in one piece.

We just made it Western.

It's our name, but it's also our way of saying: enjoy the ride. Keep going. Laugh when things don't go according to plan. And when life gets a little Western, hang on and do your best to stay Saddle Side Up.

Our roots run deep in the horse world, but Saddle Side Up is for anyone who loves Western culture.

The riders and ranchers. The country music crowd. The horse-show or rodeo scene, just as much as concert-goers. The small-town locals and city-dwellers who'd rather be somewhere with a little more dirt and a lot more open sky.

We believe Western is more than what you do or where you live. It's a culture, a style, a community, and a way of looking at life.

You don't have to prove you're Western enough around here.

A great design doesn't mean much if you don't love the shirt it's printed on.

We're intentional about the apparel we choose because quality, fit, feel, and wearability matter to us.

We're not interested in making something just because we can put our name on it.
